KNOW YOUR ROBOTICS INSTRUCTOR
Bridging Real-World Tech Expertise with Next-Gen Engineering
Welcome! My name is Nazmi, I am an educator and tech professional dedicated to helping the next generation become successful engineers, innovators, and tech leaders. Currently, I teach full-time at the Indiana Math and Science Academy North. I bring over a decade of classroom teaching and real-world tech experience straight to my students. By leading our Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Engineering pathway and serving as an Ivy Tech Dual-Credit Educator, I love giving students a major head start on college credits and high-demand careers.
Hands-on learning is at the heart of everything I do. I specialize in teaching advanced robotics using VEX IQ and V5 systems. My goal is to combine tough technical concepts with fun, real-world challenges. This approach has helped me coach youth robotics teams all the way from local championship wins to competing on the State and World Championship stages.
What makes my classroom unique is that I have actually worked in the tech industry. Before teaching full-time, I worked as an Information Systems Specialist supporting endpoint security and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for hospital networks at Indiana University Health. I also resolved complex cloud and identity issues for corporate Microsoft clients at Tek Experts as a Technical Support Engineer. Through my training in cybersecurity operations, I gained hands-on experience using tools like CrowdStrike, Azure Sentinel, and other well-known cloud-based threat detection platforms. Because of this background. I teach my students the exact skills that modern tech companies are looking for today.
Beyond the classroom, I am deeply committed to cyber literacy. I actively work to build digital awareness and promote safer online environments for our youth. By teaching students how to navigate the digital world securely, I aim to empower them to protect themselves and become responsible digital citizens.
SafeNet Academy Summer Robotics Camps

Give your child a break from the digital world and let them dive into the hands-on world of VEX Robotics at SafeNet Academy!

Why Robotics Camps:
Real-World, Screen-Free Fun:
We swap tablets for tools! Your child will build and program physical robots, staying fully engaged in a high-energy, hands-on environment.
Friendly Social Connections:
Robotics is a team sport. Campers work in small groups, fostering essential social skills like communication, empathy, and problem-solving while building lasting friendships.
Critical Life Skills:
Beyond coding and engineering, we build confidence. Through trial and error, students learn resilience, project management, and strategic thinking.
Engaging & Welcoming Atmosphere:
Our camp is designed for curious minds aged 8-12. Whether they are budding engineers or simply love to tinker, our expert instructors ensure every child feels successful and inspired.
Real-World Application:
Campers explore how robotics impacts various industries, creating a bridge between education and real-world scenarios.
Hands-On Projects:
Each session features exciting projects where campers can see their creations come to life, enhancing their practical skills.
Invention Challenges:
Participants take on fun invention challenges that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Skill Development:
We aim to help campers advance their technical skills while also focusing on teamwork and communication.
